The United Nations in 2000, declared nine faiths as basic. There are many more but we concern ourselves primarily with them.
Christianity, Islam, Hindu, Buddhism constitute about 79% of the world population.
Sikh, Judaism, Jain. Zoroastrian, Baha'i are the other five faith making up the nine and add only 0.7%.
The remainder is made up of non-religious groups (12%), smaller faiths (0.4%)Â and statistical errors.
