Here are the stats for the County by faith.
% Herts gives the percentage of the county population for each faith.
The COMRAT compares each faith to the Country figure,. If this is 1, then the county has the same proportion of that faith as England, If it is bigger than 1, then Herts has a higher density of that faith than England (see Judaism at 3.88). If it is less than 1, then the county has less of that faith than the national average (see Muslim at 0.549)
Census data for 2021 shows that the population of Hertfordshire grew by 7.4%. The Christian population reduced by 14.3% mainly from an increase of 48.1% in those registering No Religion and growth in all the faiths for which we have data. This reduced the Christian majority from 58% in 2011, to 46% in 2021. We have no data for the smaller faiths in 2021 and, at time of writing, no stats for England so no COMRAT for 2021 data.
Here are the ten Districts/Boroughs. Click to see the breakdown of faiths for each one, as well as Inter Faith Contacts and places of worship.
Numbers in Yellow are the highest for the County. Blue numbers compare the distribution of faiths to the County. Greater than 1 means the District/Borough has a higher density of that faith than the county average and less than 1, a lower density.
